Anyone got any comments on the digital camera advertised here ?

Yes, I used to have the same model digi camera (different brand though), bought mine for £99 from Ebuyer last summer but without all the accessories Aldi are throwing in.

I found the camera gave mixed results on picture quality. Daytime shots outside at the full 8MP were stunning, but some indoor shots with the flash at a party were very disappointing. The flash is very powerful, and a lot of shots were over-exposed. You can fiddle with the settings, but my wife just wanted to use it on full auto, point and shoot with no hassle.

But I found the biggest drawback was the shutter lag. Trying to take pictures of our kids was a problem, since by the time the camera captured the image they had looked the other way! So in the end, too slow and annoying for me. Returned it and bought a Canon Ixus 40 instead, brill camera.
