Toyota Sat Nav problems
Toyota SAT NAV TNS300
I have with a Toyota car With a Toyotas TNS 300 SAT NAV system fitted and it doesn’t do what it says on the tin and consequently costs me money due to wasted fuel!
The car is a Toyota Landcruiser diesel the same system is fitted in many Toyota’s it is the TNS 300, I bought my car new in March 2005 and from day one it has suffered from a Satellite navigation system gives you misleading information inasmuch as it often tells you to take a left when the correct way is to carry straight on, this happens most at roundabouts, it looks like the maps on the system that are provided by Navteq are at least 3 to 4 years old and are missing most if not all of the road improvements (I have a cheap handheld SAT NAV that has maps from Navteq and has all the new roads, this is also a 2005 system) in some situations the system will send you round and round in 5 to 10 mile circles, this happened to me near Bristol airport and I wa close to missing a flight! Toyota has said it is working as it should!! Has anybody else had these or similar problems with a Toyota SAT NAV?
