I am trying to install software for a Lexmark 2480 printer and the program is asking me to temporarily disable my anti-virus (which is AVG free version) but I can't find where or how to do this??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks

If you right click on its icon in the taskbar (down by the clock), it should give you the option to disable it.
Don't forget to turn it back on though.0 -
rattyjack - I've usually left AVG enabled when installing software, and not had a problem, although I'm using AVG 8, so your mileage may vary.0

When I right click on the icon in the tray it gives me the option to exit, does this disable it or just get rid of the tray icon? I have clicked on this and tried to run the software, but it still doesn't work.0

Click on the task bar icon, Tools, Advanced Settings, Resident Shield, Uncheck "Enable resident shield" Apply, OK. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I know it's not strictly necessary but how can I select all the mail in my Hotmail Inbox so that I can delete it (rather than page by page which I could manage given time)0
