I have a medical for DLA claim next week and was wondering how to approach it ?

Should i just answer the questions or do i go in with a list of my problems ?

Also when they say "can you do x,y, and z" - is that can you do it without pain ? If i were to decree that from now on i will not do something if it causes pain i would literally not get out of bed so do i say "yes i can walk but it hurts" - does that count as not being able to ?

you can if you wish take someone with you,personally i would just answer the questions as they will have seen your application anyway,if the answer is yes i can do that but it causes pain then thats how to answer

just be truthful , as they look at whats on your form, as woodbine say, its best to take some one with you. to explain things , as i went brain dead at one cound'nt even remeber want med im on , lucky had it all in bag and gave him that ! good luck and its not that scary just be honest

Also good to tell them what aids you use when doing the tasks you ask about, something like, If they ask if you can go to the toilet alone. Yes, I use my walking stick to get there, have a toilet frame and raised toilet seat.

Not very good at explaining it but I hope you know what I mean.
