Not sure if this is the right forum but here we go.
She is receiving calls from her ex on a regular basis, four or five times a night sometimes. They are all digusting suggestive and rude calls. is there anyway she can contact BT and ask them to give her a log of all the calls she has had from his home and mobile number, with times, in the past 6 months.
She is at the end of her tether and is really frightened and i really want to help.
Thanks

British Telecom has its own unit, which deals with nuisance calls. If you have not already reported it to BT then contact them on 150. They will investigate first and if they can trace the calls, you will then be advised to make a formal police report to your local Police station
Apparently there is a 24 hour freefone number
0800 661441
they will connect you to a trained specialist if need beEx forum ambassador

will they give her a log of the calls received to her phone without her having to go to the police?0

If she hasnt complained to BT there is very little that BT can do .
First thing to do is complain to BT ,they will probably offer to change the number ,or BT can trace the calls . If the calls are being traced BT may involve the police depending on the number off call .0 -
I don't think so, maybe something to do with data protection...the reason evades me at the moment
the 0800 number can offer sound advice and not involve the police without your friends permission

you can choose to bar the telephone number of the last incoming call (up to 10 numbers) which can be accessed via a PIN number and reviewed (there is a quarterly charge for this). This would stop the abusive calls over nightEx forum ambassador

a few years ago i had call divert .At the same time I got nussance calls .I diverted my calls to the local police at night when I went to bed .
That stopped the nussance calls. Just imagine phoning someone and the call being answered by the police !
It worked for me !0 -
could i also suggest a cheap answering machine ...far better evidence than a list of calls made to her ....there'd be no evidence of the content of the calls otherwise eg i was just phoning up to say i loved her etc etc0

Once logged to BT and if they continue BT should offer free charge a NEW number but only when you have logged with them and reported to the policeTell it as it should be....0
