Ohh keep us updated on the mystery cheque Toni ... its kinda exciting ... not convinced by the whole criminal activity line of thought ... why would you launder money through a complete stranger who you have no guarantee will give you the money back?!

i once sold something on ebay, they guy told me his friend was going to send me a cheque (i always wait for chqs to clear before ending items out).

Well when the cheq arrived it was for £1000 more than the item, he then contacted me via email and said would I bank the chq anyway and once cleared would I send the £1000 via chq from my account to him.

Well I tracked down the company and spoke to them and it turned out to be a fraud chqwith all their comp details on it, I had to go and fill out a statement with all the details, and asked by the fraud dept to string him along for a week, 2 people were arrested over it, so I am very careful with chqs now.

Got a bit of a problem, had a WEM last week saying to email back with my details which I did almost straight away. I have just had a forwarded email to me from the same person who sent the WEM saying the same thing & because I haven't replied before (even though I have) I now have until Thursday then they will pick another winner. I have replied again but not sure if I should try get in touch another way as well just to make sure they get it? Would you?

To get a cheque like that out of the blue - very odd indeed.
Hi KKK, Really pleased to hear you got a diagnosis and it's not MS, but sorry it's not clearer and that you have to have more tests. I do hope they can sort it out soon.

yep! ring them, did u attach a reciept to email? i do when confirming details, so u know they have details etc xxx

Just tell them the truth that u wee worried they weren't recieveing their emails xx
