    Hi Sally,
    dont ask,
you know when people say just walk away, it really doesnt seem to happen like that,
we tried to leave when i was 16, were told by authorities that we'd be making ourselves homeless, totally surreal all of it.

I don't think i'd be able to cope with domestic violence, would probably do whatever he said cos i'd be too scared!!!
    I'm quite small for my age...age 20...mistaken for 12!! :o
I'm very week too, muscles non-existent...sometimes can't even open a coke bottle!
So, i always avoid getting into fights with anyone!! I mean of course i argue with sisters, but I always avoid violence!!

Thats why when/if i ever got married, If violence started i'd be embarased of reporting it, wouldn't want people talking about me, thinking bad of him, and would think he loves me really!! Don't think i'd ever have the strength to leave...would probably isolate myself from my family...and one day be a simple statistic!!

these days domestic violence is treated differently, from what i have seen anyway, i may be wrong,
them days the police were nasty about it, like it was our fault n stuff,
if you ever end up in the situation id say get the hell outta there if you can and report it,
im not violent. still not, and never want to be,
when i was a bit older he stopped being violent, i was nearly as tall as him and could lift 50kg easily, and was super fit, so i think he realised id be able to sort him out.
THANKS to everyone who posts competitions. you are all :A.

    Hi Sally,

I think your topic sounds quite interesting, and I am definitely not underplaying the effort that you need to put in it but you will pass with flying colours hopefully.

It is always a good starting point to start with research that has been done in this area and just make bullet points / notes etc...

Yes, I am at uni ( I do not attend courses but have meetings etc), I am doing a PhD and I was hoping to set myself free :o by the summer !!

    Night Cistolic! xxx

    NNW - Thanks! XX

Hope you get it all done, and graduate with honours!!
I graduate in BSc next yr...don't know if i'll go further...depends on results!

Andrew, You have been a member for a long time and obviously have done much research on the site looking to find information about one particular members posts and what they have deleted etc. There are many thousands of members! so why do you need to single out and question this member. Is it also an ego thing also that you need to feel superior by noticing and questioning how one person in thousands chooses to use his profile and priviledges etc on MSE. You are One clever, Interesting, Intimidating, Life needing person if this is all you have to question in your life. Im sorry but Why did I get cancer. Why did my Dauughter in law lose to full grown babies. Why did my dad and mum die. Huh. Why does Al Mac delete his posts. Sorry Mate. Why are you on MSE

Yep, men like that need a taste of their own medicine, they only pick on women cos they're weaker than them!!
You could lift 50kg, i weigh 45kg last time i checked few months ago!! Think im 6 n 1/4 stone now, don't know how much kg that is!!

So, i wanna marry someone who will be my rock, and protect me, if they start being violent to me, I would find it sooo difficult to leave, cos i would feel weaker on my own!!

This topic is soo interesting talking about it...i might just choose this, but link it to forced marriages abit too! (Thanks NNW)
Still thinking of a research question though!!

Night NNW!!! Thanks for all your help!!:D xxx

The only research question i can think of is:
"Does being forced into marriage lead to domestic violence?"

But, its not a very good question isit, bit obvious, but can't think of anymore!

i hope one day to find a boyfriend who is my rock etc, but i am sure i will always think, what if he does hit out etc.

if i can help you with our experience just ask.
