Hi,

my girlfriend recently came into some money and wants to put it away for a rainy day. I was wondering if you have any tips on how to invest it. The only info I could give you is that she doesnt mind not being able to touch it for a while and she would want it to be a low risk investment.

Carefully. You're a little sparse on info. If you are talking anything less than 5 years, then I am not sure there is any "Investment" that I'd call low risk in the current envoironment. For a 2 year fix you could save it in ICICI bank at 4.90% which seems a fairly decent rate at the moment. The bank is fully FSCS covered. Other than that on the current info, I couldn't say.
