N Power Disadvantage Letter

I just recieved a letter from Npower saying that from 1st May 2007- 30th April 2008 I was one of a small amount of customers who were slightly disadvantaged by some changes they made and as a goodwill gesture they would be crediting my account to the tune of £1.........should I ask for more, how do I know what the disadvantage was and how much it could of been, any suggestions ??

Check the number of high rate units of gas you were charged for over 12 months. 1/4/07-31/3/08 was the period where the maximum overcharge would have occurred. If it comes to more than 4572 for a year then you have been done. Go to the thread Icarminestocky has thoughtfully linked.
