Hi i am trying to find out what the 2.4i si 97 has ie spec/safety features on the toyota previa.
I have seen this car advertised but it is over 300 miles away and would like to find out more info on what it has.
I spoke to the trader who has the car and it has 6 captain seats, abs, power steering, air cond and hot/cool box.
Was wondering where to get more info including what faults etc to look for.

Is it a genuine UK spec previa or is it an imported emina/lucida? There are a lot of imports advertised as Previa's but often they are just grey imports.0

It is advertised as a uk car, toyota previa. I thought they only did 7/8 seaters but this one is a 6 seater, all captain seats.

this might help, im sure the SI was a import and the uk spec was a GL, If is an import check your insurance price as i beliver imports cost more then UK spec cars to insure.0 -
Sorry just looked up, an SI is a Special edition model made in July 1997, just above the GX spec, this is the link you need

Looked up honest john and it says 8 seaters are best and 6 captain seats are pointless, in what way are they not best?

Well your losting 2 seats for 6 seats that spin around in circles, thats the differents, captain seats are just posh seats with arm rests and can spin round so you sit facing the rear, where as 7/8 seaters are ridged, i'd sooner have the 7/8seater as it's hander and worth more to sell on.0

Well i have 3 kids so they would go nuts with seats that swivel bit worried about space wise as we take a lot on holiday, would there still be room for a lot of stuff if i only have one seat down as there are 5 of us?

I would though so, do the seat remove in them? my uncle has one and also has 7 children and he loves his!0
