Parts prices!

Hi all,

In order to help me speed up my debt repayments, i'm moving on from building/repairing PC's for family and friends and trying to get more business from local people. As well as building and repairng, i'm moving into other things....anyway!

I'm trying to find somewhere to purchase cheaper parts (motherboards, processors etc etc). At the moment, i'm scrapping around the online stores, but i feel if i can find stuff cheaper, i can maximise profits!

Any ideas?

Or second hand on ebay. Obviously you have to tell the customer but describe the parts are reconditioned perhaps? With the exception of hard disks most parts will probably live longer than the customer will want to keep the PC so you could probably safely offer a guarantee to assure them. You might be able to get a higher mark-up on 2nd hand parts at the same time as giving the customer a discount on the new price.

Your think best source is asia and bulk purchases, but when things go wrong :(

Nothing that I know of depreciates in value as a computer, and becomes so quickly out of date..

Soon as you start supplying companies, it may be beneficial for you to standardize on a basic spec (including case, MB, cpu, HD) saves many problems and increases customer satisfaction.
GOOGLE it before you ask, you'll often save yourself a lot of time. ;)
