What do you call the Metal Plates on a Gas Cooker?

Hi, I bought a cooker and Ive had it lying for weeks. Just got round to opening it and there are bits missing.
The Metal Plates that cover the gas rings on the top. I'm trying to find somewhere that sells them but I need to know what they are called ;-) This is the BIG metal plates that usually come in 2 parts, 1 for the 2 on the left and one for the 2 on the right. The things the pots sit on when cooking.
Thanks

....oh and if anyone has any idea where to buy them that would be great.

    Pan supports?
Was it new? I'd be a bit miffed (to say the least!) if they were missing.

If you google pan support and the brand name, you'll find lots of suppliers.

I got it from Currys. I emailed them about the missing parts and they said I hadn't reported it within the 7 day deadline so I coud f off. I couldn't open the thing because I was waiting for the kitchen to be finished. I have emailed them back asking them to do the honourable thing and replace what was obviously missing. It's not as if it's something that I could have broken or lost. I won't hold my breath.

I hope in these hard times they are one of the next to go. ;-) They certainly wont get any more business from me.

Write to John Claire of DSG, google the company address explaining your situation.

I suspect this will get results. Chances are you got some muppet who doesn't give one.

Go back to Currys and tell them cooker is not fit for purpose, due to the missing parts, and you expect Currys to either supply the missing pan supports, a replacement cooker, or a refund. There is no 7 day limit with regards to the Sales of Goods Act.
