Primark - Sunglasses at £1, £2 and £3

Options
In Primark in Reading today some of the sunglasses (UV 400) were just £1 and they were pretty good quality. They also had all their summer stuff in and some summer dresses that people were snapping up for approx £11.

Is there anywhere else that does sunglasses for around the same price that anyone can recommend? I used to get mine from H&M but they always break easy and are abit flimsy, even though I like the styles not sure I would get them again for this reason...

  • Why look elsewhere? did these look cheap and nasty
  • I always rely on Primark for anything Summer related. They are nice and if they get ruined by suncream etc it doesn't matter as they were so cheap :j

My OH got his from Tesco, probably around the £5 to £7 mark. Don't think anyone else does them as cheap as Primark these days though (agree with you about H&M too, their sunglasses used to be better value/quality a few years ago).

i wonder if they would even be allowed to sell them if they don't protect your eyes somehow.

If they are marked CE, they conform to european standards regards UV protection, at least in theory. In reality I wouldn't trust something costing £1 to protect my most improtant sense.
  • Sunglasses should have the uv label and protect against both uva and uvb rays. The bigger the better protection and wraparounds are best.
  • i buy sunglasses from Dorothy Perkins in their winter sale - my last pair were £5.00 from £15.00

most sunglasses can be broken easily - go for primark they're cheap and u can get a variety of sunnies!

They are labelled as UV 400 if this helps. Is this enough protection? I must admit I do tend to get sunglasses from shops such as Accessorise, H&M, etc - I thought if the protection stickers where on them they would provide proper protection..
