I have recently written to Welcome in relation to my 2 secured loans i took out with them in 2003. They have sent me 2 forms to fill in today and i just wanted to check with everyone what to put.
The questions are:-
When did you first become aware you had a complaint?
In your own words please tell us the exact reasons for your complaint.
What do you remeber from the time you took out the policy?
What documentation were you given when you took the policy out?
Please provide details about your job at the time you took out the policy and also details of any other PPI policies you have had in the past.
Is there any other information you wish to tell us about your complaint?
To be honest I thought i answered it all in my first letter. Has anyone had something like this from them?
Your help is appreciated
Stacey

I was never sent any forms, so I'm guessing they're taking things a bit more seriously now. When I complained last February there were no forms or anything, pretty much an immediate no!!
Sorry I can't help, I'm sure someone will have received these and will give you some good advice.
Can I ask what your reasons were for mis-selling?

hi thanks for your reply.
I belive i was mis-sold as the sales person was really pushy at the time of sale i felt i couldnt say no. They made out that i wouldnt get the loans if i didnt take out the ppi. Also when i looked at the papers it looks as though i was the only one covered on the ppi policy and not my husband.
I really hope i get something done about this, i should hopefully get about £3500 back.
Fingers crossed.
I take it you have had no luck with them?0 -

Hi Stacey
Hope I have caught you on time.
Do not worry about these questionaires, these are used for stalling tactics.
It seems that many are receiving these now, but what some have done is wrote back and told them the questionaire is enclosed but not completed, because you should have been aware of my personal details when I had taken out this finance.
They must still continue to investigate your complaint within 8 weeks, if you do not hear from them then it may be time to contact the Financial ombudsman service. (if not heard by 8 weeks).
Hope this helps.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thats great thanks for your reply. I dont think I will fill them out either as I think they are just trying to get me to answer things that they think i wont remember. I will do a letter enclosing the questionaires.
Do you think I should mention anything else in the letter?0 -

Hi hun
Just tell them what I posted above, and tell them you look forward to hearing from them in regards of your complaint, hopefully by the 8 weeks they had from the date (you put on your first letter).;) Good luck and let us know if you need any more help, not unless you can think of anything else to add in your letter XThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi,
Glad Di posted with some good advice cos as I say when I complained I just got the standard fob off.
No I haven't but I've read a few posts on here from people who have tried to claim since and they've had successes so don't worry, I guess they've just realised their way of dealing with these complaints needed to improve, hence the forms.
My cases have been with the FOS since March last year so hoping for good news soon!!! Fingers crossed for everyone lol.
There are so many people on here that will give you some great advice, (Di especially, going back a while when I've been stressing about how long it's taken and worrying that it wont happen she has been very supportive) so stick at it and I'm sure you'll get there in the end.
Please let me know how you get on, I'm always interested to hear how people get on with good old welcome lol, sorry I'm not much use in the way of advice, I'm a bit of a newbie at this!!!!

Ok Iv done my letter Im going to post recorded delivery today. I basically told them that I have enclosed the questionairres not completed as they should have been aware of my financial situation at the time of taking out the credit.
I also mentioned the girls name that dealt with my 2 loans and put the blame onto her as i had stated in my first letter.
I will just have to wait and see what happens now0 -
