CC introductory offers Q

Options
If I apply for 2 credit cards and decide to only go with one of them, can that go against me in any way. What I mean is because I have been accepted by the CC but decide to turn them down before signing for it can they turn me down for any introductory offers if I decide to go with them at a later date? Would this show me in a bad way on my credit report?

only because there would be an extra search on your credit file.

I cant say on whether they will refuse you in the future though... perhaps someone more in the know can answer that one?

It may be held against you for a few months, normally you are not allowed to re-join a credit card company from anywhere between 6-12mths.After this period they treat you as a new customer and you get new customer benefits.
To avoid the point your making be more selective with your credit card applications and apply only for cards that serve your purpose.ie. 0% on purchases for 9mth would be ideal to pay for the washing machine rather than incurring a interest charge from the store.
by being selective you can have several cards all for a different jobs.

You would need to sign a credit agreement before your application would be processed. Therefore the account would be opened, although you could subsequently close it.

    You have misunderstood.

If I apply for a CC online and get "aproved" but decide not to sign the papers when they come through the post, would the CC company turn me down for introductory offers if I decide, say...6 mths later, to reapply. Would/could they say I do not qualify for the offer since I have applied before.
