Look on the bright side, next time if you use the opposite answers you will get 7 and using a bit of hindsight score a good few more

Yes but i got 7 on agreeableness, 6 on conscientoius, 7 on conformity, 9 on emotional stability, and they said i was ambitious, enthusiastic, decisive, coping well with stress, working at best slightly pressurised, express views with confident authority, assertive when necessary etc And it was not actually sales, it was advertised as a checkout position, no mention of sales at all in the description.

I just think they are basing way too much on this American system of personality testing and in doing so are turning away lots of people for jobs. Because what can you really tell from it? A telephone or face to face interview tells you lots more about a person that an exercise like this which only guesses at what you are like at your job or in a work environment.

Exactly what the B&Q training involves!
As for stress! 3 of us used to run the dept. I was put in, the other two had been there years, after 1 week I was left in charge when the others went home at 5pm, so for 4 hours every night I was dropped in the deep end and had a queue of questions but no answers!
It looks easy but can be stressful at times. Be warned, but good luck!

Every interview test which I aced I never had a job offer. I've even had one person on an occasion stand away after he seen the results like I had a radioactive aura and he will be infected. This was some years ago when I applied at Olivetti and the best he told me he had ever seen was a 7 from current senior Engineers. My score was 10 (max), he told me it was impossible to take me on as I was applying for a trainee position.

Just be aware there often are no right or wrong answers in personality testing, but preferred patterns for the 'role'. you need to speak to the spotty youths and bring up the questions!
