A security front door peephole?

Can anyone tell me where I'd get one of these and can you fit them yourself?

You can get these from B&Q but last time I looked they were £8 or something stupid.

£1.79 with p&p is really good value, but make sure it will be long enough to go through your door!

You will need a drill of the correct diameter to drill completely through the door too. Then they normally just screw together from each side of the hole.

B&Q Do em and they unwind to 58mm or 90mm long to go through the door.

This one is really tiny....you can't see nowt through it.
One finger over the lens will stop you seeing who's there :think:

Dude, if somebody is on your doorstep with their finger over the peephole, whether you can see them or not is the least of your worries.

Call the police!

Little tip.. place the peep hole at about chest level.. ok you have to bend over to look through it but the person the otehr side of the door will not know you are looking through it. If it's eye level they will see the peep hole go dark when you peer through it.
