made redundant whilst on maternity

Hi, just wondered if anyone could give me a bit of info
I'm currently on maternity leave (9 weeks in) and i was called into work yesterday to be told that my boss is closing the business as she can no longer afford to run it.
I have phoned acas who have told me that my boss is obliged to pay me all of my maternity plus three weeks redundancy as i have been there for three years plus any holidays i may have acrued, but my boss is saying that she hasn't the money to pay me anything!!
I'm really starting to panic so if anyone could give me any advice i would be really grateful

If your employer can't pay then you can recover some money from the government - if you go to direct.gov.uk and look at the employment section it will detail out what you can get from them and how you claim it.

Incidentally unless your employer was a limited company your boss will be personally liable for anything she owes including your pay so unless she is completely bankrupt you should be able to recover from her.
