Quidco - hotel and carhire bookings

If I link to a site such as Expedia or ebookers through Quidco and make a hotel reservation how do I get the money back? I normally choose to pay for things like hotels and carhire when I leave the hotel or return the car. If I do this will I get Quidco money back if I made the initial booking through Quidco?

Or to put it more simply...do I need to pay in full upfront for these things to qualify for Quidco cashback?

i've had money from quidco when booking with expedia. but this is only when i've paid up in full up front.
i've never used them for car hire - found them very expensive. i always use

I booked a holiday with Direct Holidays through Quidco. As I only paid the deposit I thought that's all I would get earnings on, but I got earnings on the full amount.
