The car is to transport my son, but it is obviously in my wife name. We both BR. Like i said above, they still wrote to us and enclosed a copy of our lease agreement with the BR section highlighted. The lease agreemant obviously has to be in adult name. That make difference?

We have a motability car, The OR has not even wrote to motability. They know the car is not ours to 'sell' and they have no interest in it. The insolvency website itself mentions motability and states there is nothing there for the crediors and therefore should be left alone.0

I must have been the exception then.....Motability asked if the OR could write to them informing of my bankruptcy! (went BR March 07 changed lease car april same year)although as NM says Motability contract lease cars are always safeWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0

I have a motobility vehicle and i must warn you that follwoing BR the OR will write to motobility. Thereis a clause in every motobility lease that says they can cancel if you are declared BR. In our case motobility were happy to leave us with the car but only after they recieved a second letter from OR confirming they had no interest in vehicle. BUT be warned, others i know have had their vehicle taken back....

i've NEVER heard that happen to anypne I know with motability.....one of the 1st things I checked was with Motability & if they would be ok with it....they DID say IF the car is on a 5yr hire (HP where you purchase the vehicle) this could cause probs BUT because i'm on the 3yr contract lease hire scheme i'd be fineWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -
Yeah we on the normal contract lease hire scheme. We also paid our deposit for new car in December, went BR 6th Jan and new car delivered 19th ish of FEB. The OR asked what we had used the 1k for but explained about deposit and was surprisingly fine about it. So BR and driving around in a brand new zafira. The motability scheme is a great scheme, people are only entitled to it if they have disability so it should be exempt from BR. My OH life would be very bad if he didnt have the car, a wheelchair user. I also think the 5 year HP should be exempt too. Id feel very sorry if I heard of someone loosing a motability car due to BR.0

Hmm the 5yr scheme is slightly different though....you own the car outright & pay all maintainence costs etc so its not a lease scheme more a cheaper HP scheme
the 3yr contract hire scheme is a godsend for me...i'd be housebound without my wheels TBH did feel a little strange though Bankrupt 12th March 2007 picked up my brand new 07 Nissan Note a few weeks afterWe all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
