Holiday Advice - CentreParcs, Haven etc?!

Hi everyone,
We're looking to book a week away in this country for around April/May time.
We live in Essex and dont really want to travel more than around 3 hours if we can help it.
Its for 2 adults and a 2 year old.
I did think of CentreParcs but when I looked into the prices of the childrens activities I can see it working out really expensive.
My next thought was somewhere like Haven but I dont know anyone thats been to compare what its like etc.
We want somewhere that has day time activities for the little one and also some eveing entertainment that we can go and watch.
Dont really want to spend more than around £250/£300 if possible as baby due not too long after.
Can anyone recommend anywhere please?
