Can anyone tell me how these £19 rooms work please?

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children under 5) Are the £19 rooms double only? meaning we would need 2 rooms to fit everyone in?. Do travelodge do family rooms?

    Hi
when you book just check you select a family room not a double, we are a family of four and have used them lots, one sleep on the sofa and theres a pull out bit underneath the other sleeps on, they love it and think its exciting.

No £19 rooms in Bristol for Sat 4th April :(

(some on the fri or sun though ! lol)
  • I'm taking my girls to Alton Towers for the first time on April 20th, I have entered Alton Towers into Travelodge and it has come up with Ashbourne for £19 the Sunday night for us to get an early start on Monday, can anyone confirm this is the nearest or easiest to Alton Towers? I have never been to this area before and want to make the visit enjoyable.

Not sure if it is the closest but it is quite near to Alton Towers, I would expect it to be a 20-30 minute journey. Ashbourne is a very nice market town with lots of little shops and is a nice area to walk around or grab some food in if you have the time (or energy after a day at Alton Towers)

It doesnt matter if I book a room for 3 people for £19 but only 2 people turn up to use it does it?

no thats fine - we often book a family room (4 people), as were never sure if we can get babysitters or not, so its usually a last minute decision is we take the kids or not, but have to book a room large enough, incase we do have to take them

They used to ask the names of all the people staying in each room, but they don't even do that now. They don't seem to mind if you are family of five in a family room either, though it's a bit of a a squash with a double and a bed settee.

I know some people have had trouble with booking, arriving late on, and then there being no room available - I always ring the TL on the day to confirm the booking and that we will definitely be turning up.

Uttoxeter is probably the closest plus I can give directions from there to avoid the traffic ;)

Never been in the Travelodge itself, but it just looks like a bog standard functional Travelodge hotel from the outside. Uttoxeter itself is a pleasant little market town in the evening and there is an excellent Wetherspoons to take the kids for some food (plus if you are too exhausted there is a McD opposite the Travelodge!).

There's a Premier Inn hotel in Uttoxter too with a pub/restaurant attatched to it, which IMHO looks a bit nicer. I haven't got a clue how much it is though :D

Nice..... was going to book the Terminal 5 TL at Heathrow but waited til 6am and as we hoped the Feltham one dropped from £29 to £19 too. Rather use my Oyster card and pay a normal bus fare than the Hoppa prices plus we've saved £30 on fares on the train compared with the train tube combination by using Clapham Junction rather than travelling via London. Very MSE all round :)

    MSE Florida wedding .....no problem
