    Will each student have their own contract :j :j:j:j:j:j:j:j or will all eight students be jointly and severally liable for the rent ...........:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:.....?

    Assuming you mean you have all signed the same contract rather than one each, then it cannot be an AST. There is no requirement for you depsoit to be protected.

    I would makle sense for the contract to give contact details of some description, this could be an agent or a PO Box number, but theres no legal requirement for the Landlords address to be on the contract in this instance.
