Free Hitcounter that wont resize my page

Hi guys

I'm looking for a hit counter for my m8's website that doesn't require advertising (I don't mind the digits linking back to their own site but nothing else).

This might sound like an easy request but I had problems with some of them resizing the webpage when you returned to the homepage which included the counter. (i.e Statcounter).

It basically stretched the page for two seconds (800 px width) then made it normal again but it looks really unprofessional doing this everytime you click "Home".

Can someone suggest a simple hitcounter that they may use on their own site (text one would be ace) that won't give me this hassle.

Have you checked the hosting ISP's website, many provide scripting advice on how to do it with their own script.
