Holiday Cottage help?

I am looking to take my hubbie away for a few days for his birthday. The only time we can have off work is 25th March to 29th March. Been trying to find a cottage for the four nights, but this is proving difficult with me wanting to go on a Wednesday.

Does any one know of cottages - not too bothered where, that allow you to start on a Wednesday. Only found one in Scotland so far, which wanted £675 for the four nights.

Thanks

We wanted to do a break from wednesday and found it cheaper to book for the week sunday - saturday and leave it empty for the first couple of days. This was a lot cheaper believe it or not

Have you checked out hilton hotels they have a few great offers on at the moment?

  • We did consider booking for a week, but not using it, seemed a bit of a waste, but like you said it will probably be cheaper.

Might go and have a look at the hilton website now though.

Depends where you want to go. We've booked to go here during the summer in the cottage that sleeps 4. There is one that sleeps 2 (Courtyard), which you can book by the night. It is available for the dates you want for £180. However, it's a long way north!

The only other cottages (well, lodges rather than cottages really) that I know that book by the night are on the Orkney Islands, even further north! Let me know if you want the details.

When you go yo the hilton website and have chosen your hotel they give you a price with extras you can add ie breakfast ect

There is a tab at the top which says full price list click on that there are better offers in this bit

I would particularly recommend two websites:
    www.lastminute-cottages.co.uk and www.therealvisitorsbook.co.uk
Both sites list late availability cottages but you have the benefit of dealing with the cottage owner direct so there is always the chance of some flexibility.
25th to 29th is still well off-peak and doesn't interfere with school hols in any way, so I think you can safely find yourself a bargain without necessarily booking the full week.

Here is our UK house you can rent for part of a week if you get in touch with me. Unfortunately you will have to pay the weeks cost but the days you want are available for £300, this includes linen, heating, broadband etc. https://www.trenthouselets.com

    Hi,

Don't know if you're still looking, but I'd recommend sites where you book straight with the owner - holidaylettings.co.uk and ownersdirect.com are the ones I tend to use. HL moreso.

You can search by availability and location as well as tons of other criteria.
  • Try these, used them in the past
