I got a really good deal on my renewal by using gocompare.co.uk
Beat my renewal quote by £130 and when I went back to my usual insurer they met the price. So basically a company that wanted £413 to insure me settled for £280 because I spent less than an hour on gocompare. Well worth it. :money:0 -
I got a great deal on comparethemarket.com. I went with Endsleigh, they were great value. My partner went with Hughes, we were both with Quinn before but left.
Try Diamond as well, they were good for me before I built up any no claims.0 -
My friend (who is over 30 and only has 1 years' NCD) did a quote via Gocompare and the cheapest came out with Yes for £370 for TPFT. He then got a quote with Hughes Insurance but it came out in excess of £400. 5 minutes later Hughes gave him a call, went through some of the questions again and was able to offer him fully comp insurance for £370 instead. Needless to say he took it.0

I have used McClarty's Insurance in Ballymena now for some years!!
They are the cheapest around for males anyway.
Its worth a quote!0 -

We were looking for insurance last week and decided to use Tesco compare, I usually avoid the english firms as they seem to double every quote we get from NI companies but the cheapest we got from local companies was £411, we managed to get insurance through HSBC for £289 after getting the quote on Tesco compare. Definately pays to shop around.Norn Iron Club member 273:beer:0

            Axa are usually quite reasonable.
It was Axa who quoted me £413 and then came down to £280 when I got other quotes!
Insurance companies are relying on the fact that most of us are lazy and 99% of the time will not give you their best quote on renewal unless you get a better offer elsewhere.0
