ok a few things to do when you are here,
Edinburgh Castle
Scots Monument (you can go up the top, the views, wow)
Go to top of calton hill. You will get the most breathtaking views of the city.
Night time up calton hill aswell you will see the castle in the night time with the lights illuminating it.
High Street is part of the old town
Mary kings close
Most importantly, is to enjoy it. Edinburgh is a wonderful city, and there is loads to do. You can get on a tour bus. its £5 per person but you can hop on and off as much as you want in the day for the £5. they will show you all the haunts. You can go underground to mary kings close, costs

few links on what to do. Can guarantee though, when its time to leave, you wont want to
FYI - the Hilton hotel is at the corner of Lothian Road and Princess Street. Airport buses run every 5 mins, and will cost £3.50 single £5 return pp from the airport to city. Your best to get off at the last bus stop in Shanwick Place before it gets in to princess street. (you should see shops called Lizads (optition) Pikwicks, £strecher and on the corner is the bank (clydsdale bank i think) and its a 2 min walk from the bus stop to the hotel. You will have to cross the road at the traffic liughts, head towards the shop called Frasers. Use the crossing there to cross over, and you cant miss the hotel. You could get a taxi but our taxis are quite costly, would cost £15 - £20 to get in. Bus takes about 20 mins (same road as taxi would take) and because its airport bus, it only stops at a couple of stops, on the way to town.Never do things tomorow when you can do them today.0 -

If you mean the Caledonian (think that is a Hilton now), rather nice indeed. Decent location - don't head up Lothian Road at night, there are classier places to gobut it is very handy for the west end.
Free is my favourite price!0
