Bank charges advice needed

I have a Bank of Scotland current account and applied for my statements which I duly received. As I was going through my statements I noted quite a few payments stating 'International payment'. when I approached my local bank I was told that it was a computer error and any cash transactions where the money had been withdrawn in branch would show up as an 'international payment'. Anyone else experience this?
