I set up a DD to credit £50 onto it a month, how do I check my balance online ? there is no chip on the card and the Tesco chap who set up my telephone details said that i could sign for goods in the store untill my pin arrives, what if i lose the card ? seems a bit vulnerable, can I draw any excess cash off of it ? can i put money onto it in store ?? can I get a balance at the checkout, do I get double points on everything, do i get green points ? can I get double double points on fuel :-)0

I have never used mine on-line.
Club card plus does not have a chip. You will not have a pin number and you always have to sign when buying goods.
You get a statement each month.
You can have money back from the card from customer service at any time.
You can use the in store phone to get a balance at any time. You will be sent a unique number.
Money is paid onto the card by monthly direct debit. Personally I've never tried to add more than that to the account.
The points awarded? I'm not sure how these are worked out. I will have a look on the back of a statement .£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

Not much information on the statement.
There is a giro slip on the bottom of the statement so you can pay more money in.
Interest in earned daily on the account balance.
You can alter the direct debit amount by calling them.

Club card plus does not have a chip, so cannot be operated by pin.
The number maybe the one you need to use with telephone banking and to speak to customer service.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

I mentiond that to the fellow at tesco and he said that all though its a swipe card I will still be able to use the pin, and would also be able to use it in any ATM' as well0

Tesco's swipe my card and it automatically generates a slip for me to sign. The information about my account is held in the strip.
It would not work in their pin machine as there is nothing for the machine to read. The same in a cash point machine.
I wonder if the chap on the end of the phone was confusing the two types of club cards.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4.............................NCFC member No: 00005.........

I don't know why you think it doesn't have a pin, I used my Tesco Clubcard for several years to pay for my shopping with a pin and can check it online...#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Hmmm, not sure, when I filled out the form though it asked if I wanted to set up a 4 digit pit to use with the card, I have already set up the one for telephone banking but still have one being posted out to me, he seemed really helpful, very puzzling0
