Morning lovely ladies! Hello Monkey, nice to meet you! :hello:

Well my office is being moved or cleaned or repointed or something today (I wasn't really listening) so I'm in my pyjamas on the sofa watching Homes Under The Hammer (one of my guilty pleasures - also DOND but that's hardly a shock).

Anyway, HUZZAH for 5 straight days off work! Not going to be sitting about doing nothing though, oh no. I'm cooking dinner for friends two nights in a row then on Sunday it's my monthly party that I run so I'll be out flyering until then (hate flyering esp in the rain but must be done!).

Must try and get through the next few days without spending too much money though. I should make a little money on Sunday which is good but I promised myself I was going to bank it this month rather than stuff it in my purse and fritter it away as normal. Also, I went to Primarni yesterday so need to be doubly good! Only spent £27 but I wasn't going to buy ANY clothes this month. Woops.

    Hope you're all well!

    Good Morning Ladies,

A bit later for me this morning, have some good news and some bad news!
Good news, is had my appraisal this morning and got an increment and a quarter - yeehah! :j You know what they say, about an extra quarter, it makes all the difference in lots of ways!

Bad news, got my results from my cholesterol check from last week - it is, wait for it.... 6.1  Was just about to ask the receptionist if that was bad when she followed up with "you'll have to come and see the nurse to be put on a low-fat diet". Talk about being gutted, I am not overweight (by much, ok could do with losing a few pounds), but it's harder knowing that I'm obviously fat on the inside :o

Tilly, great cupcake logo, shame I will never be able to eat cup-cakes ever again :-(

Welcome Monkey, oh what a scare Laura, glad all ok. I have had a few scares myself

Rupe, we could prob be twins (same age, actually think I'm a year older), spooky! Mark Sloane - wow. Archie marrying the cop, I totally thought the same thing. Can't wait for the ultimate love god George to make his grand entrance :D

Hi to anyone I've missed x

Hey Swinstie - try not to panic about the cholesterol thing. Three years ago my OH and I had cholesterol checks - his was 6.3 (and he is the skinniest person in the world OFFICIAL:rotfl:) - ok thats pushing it, buit my point is - at the time he was told it was 'fine, just a little on the high side' - its only recently that they have put the threshhold down. Mine was 5 - and I was MASSIVE at the time heh heh.

I'm obviously not a medical professional etc etc - and I guess a low-fat diet is always good:A - I'm just saying 'panic not, fair one!'

BTW I think we are the same age - born 1973 like me?!
Onward and upward - with the odd step to the side

Hi all- long time lurker on this thread- first time poster Ithink! Love the chat here- so much fun catching up on what you're all up to. The cupcakes look so yummy...hould not be looking at them before I've had breakfast lol! The logo looks great too- will you put an apostrophe in it when the site goes live?? Also uber impressed you can leave the house at 6.45- I should do that. WOuld be so much more organised and efficient if I start early but I just CAN NOT leave the bed. Just voted for Leonie on the website...good luck! Why no news from Blondie? Hope everything's ok??

    Love Miss Shoes xx

Morning and hello to the newly posted lurkers :D

Swinstie good to hear about your pay rise - in these hard times at least someone is fairing well :D

Ruby: totally jeal about your duvet day but hey I get one tomorrow (well until lunch time when I have a date :o) I used to love homes under the hammer when I was out of work - day time tv as a rule sucks but there are a couple of gems :D

I don't even know how to get my cholesterol tested - did you go to the doctors? I think the results would be fairly scary as I put away so much junk food.

On that note: today's biscuit of choice...not really a biscuit but eating a packet of fig rolls :T

Would have been able to have a NSD today except I'm going out and buying my ex mother in law a bar of cadbury's milk and an easter card...oh well.
    End of 2010 I was £8,007.66 in debt :(

Whats this monthly party you speak of?!?!?! Could be a great excuse for you Londoners to get together:p, shame we're so widely spread, a meet would be fab!!!!

Welcome Miss Shoes - I'm with you on not having the ability to remove my personage from a lovely warm bed into the nasty cold bleakness that is my house

Swinstie - HUZZAH for the increment and a quarter, I'm assuming this mean more money?!?!
GADZOOKS to the cholesterol:mad::mad: I had that a while ago, it was the look of disgust on the nurses face when she told me the result that made me feel awful!:o She was a right cowbag:rotfl:

I was going to make a comment about chatting with people from the 70s especially when I barely remember the 80s...............but I thought better of it, don't want to make you feel old ;) :rotfl:
