Single Person - Flat - Dual Fuel

Hi Guys

This is my first post!

Im going to be moving out of my parents into my own flat in the next couple weeks. Thing is I have been trying to look round to compare different energy suppliers but I am not having much luck!

As I have never lived on my own before I have no idea what my consumption will be so I am unable to compare who will be the cheapest for me!

I will be living by myself in a one bedroom flat.

Any help will be great!

Cheers

it depends on a few things for a start-
you mentioned gas - does that mean heating and hot water will be gas?

  • yes both on gas.

I like the idea of getting dual fuel from one supplier simply for ease.

Just leave everything as it is until you work out what you'll use. Keep a record of all meter readings at the beginning and possibly say monthly. Then in 3 months figure it out and change suppliers if you need to.

It's all done by direct debit anyway so just go with the cheapest even if that means two different companies.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

your electricity will be fairly consistent use through the year
your gas will be more in the winter due to heating
