Help! Been paying 2 companies for house insurance!

Options
Have just found out that we have been paying 2 companies for house insurance for the last 6 months. We were originally with esure, then took up policy with Abbey when we re-mortgaged and forgot to cancel esure.
Does anyone know, is there anyway of getting money back from either company? Could really do with this money back, its turned into a costly error.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Anne

Inform both companies of the error which is known as dual insurance. Supply policy details to each and tell them which one you want to keep. Between them they will agree a refund.
