that's what i'm wondering..i've got basic sky but i want to negotiate a deal...i've checked other threads on the way to go about it..but i'm just getting sick and tired of paying out for the countless gambling and other tripe that they keep on adding

You have to be a new customer to sky, not an upgrade, sorry.
The minimum term is 12 months.
It is a recommend a friend offer (I'll be your friend) and not personal to me, HTH

Sky have no concerns whatsover with existing customers, we are moving house some time in 4-6 weeks and I explained to them this and asked what offers do they have to keep me as an existing customer when i moved house (Free installation and a sky+ box), but instead was told there will be an £80 installation fee to move house and £199 for a sky plus box, I have refused to pay this and threatened to cancel service earlier than 6 weeks time and they did try to get my new address.

So beware trying to get a deal with sky, I will be using "FEBPLUS" code and if its refer a friend my father in law will be the referrer i sure he will love sky plus box. There loss my gain, but why do they not care about there customers.

Sorry for my rant.

It is refer a friend, but there's nothing in the febplus code for the referrer, use it at will.

Has anyone tried to use it to do an upgrade from normal sky.

If I cancel and re-order using a different name (I.e The WIFE) will I be able to get away with this and how long will it take to cancel?

I recently decided to downgrade my subscription from entertainment and movies package to just entertainment a saving of 15 pounds. When I rang I said we needed to cut back due to money reasons so they offered me the full package for 30 pounds for 3 months and the nice lady I spoke to also gave me the exact date to call back and change so I don't get caught with the full price after the promotion. Definately worth a try.
