It won't be a main post office buying SIMs. It will be a sub-post office with the postmaster running a separate business (e.g. a newsagents) alongside the post office. The buying and selling of SIMs has nothing to do with Post Office Limited itself.
You could try selling them to a local mobile phone retailer (look them up on yell.com) or newsagents shop or local sub-post office (if you're lucky enough to still have one ). Failing that, car boot 'em or eBay em.
Am so willing to try Jamster'ing 'em via Quidco but that means losing resale value. Unlikely to get £10 a SIM by selling em tho!#145 Save £12k in 2016 Challenge: £12,062.62/£12,000.00 Beginning Balance: £5,027.78 CHALLENGE MET

Is there £5 credit on each card
Yes
if I put it in my phone will all my numbers stored in my phone get lost
Depends on whether your numbers are stored to your phone memory or your sim card memory If its your sim card memory yes you will lose them unless you back them up0 -
And of course you need your phone to be on the Virgin network unless your phones unlocked0
