Hi Ashley
It has been many years since we have been to Lowestoft but spent many happy holidays there. If you go to the sea front there is the information place that has the Booklets {with some discounts} Check this link for things to do{i would reccomend Suffolk wildlife park}

I live in Lowestoft and if you have time before you come here you can join one of the Somerleyton membership schemes - it entitles you to discounts when visiting Somerleyton Hall and Fritton Lake - as far as I know it is free (I'm a memeber and I didn't pay) and gives you 15% off entry to Somerleyton Hall and Fritton Lake and up to 20% off of food at Dukes Head (my favourite) and Fritton House. The link to memebrship is http://www.somerleyton.co.uk/explore/membership_younger.php if you look around that website you should be able to find out what the normal entry prices are etc.
It's a long time since I joined so check the offers and conditions - it mentions locals but as far as I can see you don't have to actually be local - and join soon as you need the card that they send you in order to get the discounts.
Depending on when you are coming there is power boat racing at Nicholas Everitt Park in Oulton Broad every Thursday which is free.
We don'y have any of the chains that have the 2 for 1 vouchers in lowestoft but in Beccles (about 20 minutes away and accessible by train has a Prezzo's which at the moment have a 2 for 1 voucher offer and would be worth checking online before you visit.
I think taht you used to be able to get Pleasurewood Hills tickets with Tesco Clubcard vouchers but i don't know if that is still the case - haven't been there for about 15 years so can't comment on how good it is there.
We have a good theatre www.marinatheatre.co.uk - it's worth checking out what's on when you are here.
Hmmmm, will try to think of more tomorrow...
Let us know if you are bringing kids and if so what ages and will be able to help more.0
