in Credit cards
I am looking for a 0% balance Transfer for my Credit Card and tried Lloyds TSB. I have a search done against me but never recieved a letter of confirmatin to say yes or no!
The Credit Card I have at the moment is with Halifax. Would it be worth me trying again for a different Credit Card?

If you are worried about your credit searches or credit history then you should check your file via the Experian or a similar company first.
If you are happy that there is nothing wrong with your file then go ahead and apply to another credit card.
Have a look at the Providers list A-Z on the left of the page go to credit cards and you can view them there. Also read Martins articles on Balance Transfers first this will give you all the up to date info and the best cards to move to.
hope that helps a little.0 -

Well, I rang Lloyds TSB, they said that I was rejected and there re-sending the letter back out.
Now what other options are there for getting a life of balance low rate card or 0% BT?0 -

I don't think it would make much difference!
I got a score of about 750 ot of 1,000 for Experian but they gave me a poor rating!
I have recently got Notice's of correction on the file but I don't want to try again so soon.

Hi
I would suggest you try nationwide, they have 0% for 9 months on purchases and 4.9% on balance transfers for 12 months. They have really good benefits such as no charges when you use c/c abroad

capital one are offering 0% until July 2007 (but you have to spend £100 on the card before June 2006 to get this rate) otherwise if you dont spend on the card its 0% until sept 06
anyone know if theres a catch?

The catch is in your answer.flea72 wrote:capital one are offering 0% until July 2007 (but you have to spend £100 on the card before June 2006 to get this rate) otherwise if you dont spend on the card its 0% until sept 06

The money you transfer will be at 0% until july 07 if you spend £100 before june 06. The £100 you do spend is at the higher APR e.g. 14% and you will keep paying this until the amount you Transferred is paid off! STAY AWAY FROM IT!0 -
but i thought under some recent ruling, they had to pay off the money at the higher rate first? i know on all my other cards, the higher rate debts are cleared first, so if i use a cc for cash, that gets paid off, before the other amounts charged to the card
