:rotfl: can't you send RV out on slug patrol? :p
Yes -salt will keep em off -but you will be forever running round putting salt down -and you know the locals will think you are doing some witchy ritual :D

Crushed egg shells help, Porridge oats (they eat em then they swell up n die ) -but again you will have to put them down often...beer traps help too..or leftover pop etc...

Well if I knew any witchy rituals then I'd use them against the slugs eh !!!
.... or against the RV. - If I have to sit in here and listen to any more bl**dy rubbish tv then he's history.

Thanks Mrs Mc, I had decided I wasn't going to grow anything as it seemed too much bother and I am not experienced enough, but you have given me hope and confidence that I can do this, just need to look out for the crates now... I hate slugs, give me the heebie jeebies. yuck.

What you really mean mumoftwo is that you know that "if I can do it anyone can" :rotfl:

It really is simple... Im going to try and do everything step by step on my blog to make it really easy for anyone else who isn't experienced ;) -this will be my 3rd year -but the 1st year it was mainly tomatoes... and a few more things last year -and this year Im trying allsorts -which could be "interesting":p

Mrs Mc, I would love to do tomatoes, but have been reading and they seem the hardest to do, needing constant temperatures and things taken off them and needing feed etc. If I can only grow tomatoes I will be happy, I can eat juicy, ripe tomatoes all day long...

Yuck to the slug feet!!!

I did tomatoes last year on the windowsill without even trying. They grew themselves and were so delicious I'm doing lots more this year.

tomatoes are one of the easiest things to grow -well I think so  ... I grew loads last year -all outdoors :D and this year Im growing even more varieties.. they are my obsession:o .... I think Im doing about 20 varieties this year:rotfl: -so im only settin 2 of each -but me thinks 40 tomato plants might be enough for the 2 of us :p
Last year i grew enough toms to last us all summer and then loads roast and froze -enough for at least 1 pasta meal a week -and I still have a few left i the freezer now :j they have been gorgeous
I have some spares -if you look on my blog I think they are all listed -some with links to the site I got them from so you can see which is which...
get me on the other site if you want me to list them for you so you can pick some
