day/night time electricity costs

Does anyone know if it is cheaper to put on things like the washing machine etc at night? Thanks.

    Depends if you're on Economy 7/10 or not. If so, then yes.

    If you have Economy 7, yes, usually. Sometimes only the heaters and maybe immersion heater are wired to off peak, though, so check.

    On normal tariff, no. Makes no difference.
