A reasonable offer??

I am about to view a 1930's detached house in south staffordshire.
The propety is currently vacant and appears to be in good condition but is probably dated.
Its on the market at £159, 999, which in normal times I would consider a good price.
Taking account of the market etc and the fact that I am likely to get less that i would like for my current property (I would like £100k, may get £90K), I am thinking of an opening offer of £137, 500, maybe willing to got to £145k.
Any thoughts from you knowledgable folk??

How long has it been on the market? Have you got property bee installed for looking on rightmove?0

I think that's a reasonable offer to start with. I have to say though, I don't see why they would accept any offer from someone who has still to sell their own house. It could take months to sell yours, unless of course you have additional funds available and can purchase outright. Unless you are a cash buyer I think they will wait for further offers if the house is new to the market.0

Your offer is ok. But have you found a buyer for your own property? If not then the vendor or their agent may not be willing to negotiation too easily. Try and be in a position that you can move things forward straight away.0
