is it worth re-contacting saying something along the lines of " i would be happy to accept the charges without interest rather than wait for the full amount when the final decision is made at which point i may request interest on top.

Thats a tough one. If you are claiming under the normal rules i am not sure they would even consider looking at it yet as the test case is still underway:mad:
You could phone them and politely ask how long they think its going to be before you get a decision from them. But to be honest, the banks are really enjoying the 6 month extension (each & every time it gets extended) and i doubt you will get anything from them til atleast july this year. If you feel the hardship rules applies to you, you could venture down that avenue, but i doubt they will entertain the current/pending claim til this test case has been finalised. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but they are really digging their heels in on this.0
