Hi all does anyone know of any software I can download that would tag all of my MP3s rather than me having to type in all of the track names, album details etc......
I have used musicbrainz tagger in the past which was really good as it looked up the info and applied it all saving me hours but this is no longer available, all the taggers I have found seem to still require you to type the info in and then apply it but would prefer if it used an online database or something similar to look up and apply the info.
Any help appreciated

Not all taggers are the same, depends on your starting point. Plenty of applications will use the filename etc to generate the tag but I'm not sure they can actually work-out what the track is. If you need something to work it out and download the tag information then Winamp does an admirable job using Gracenote. It's by means perfect but will save you plenty of keying-in time.0 -
I use MediaMonkey 3 (MM3) plus the MiniLyrics plug in. tags dowloaded via Amazon and it does a reasonable job, lyrics downloaded via MiniLyrics server and tagged as well. A little fiddly on initial set up but plenty of help via the MM website forum.0

Tag&Rename is very good. You can edit the tags either manually or automatically. It also allows you to create the tags based upon the filename or the other way round, rename the file based upon the tags.0

Thanks for the many recommendations everyone, I think my best bet is going to be to have a look at all these and see which one ticks my boxes, I was hoping that there would be one out there that everyone used and thought was briliant but as my initial search proved there seems to be so many available its just a case of seeing which one you find that works best for your own needs.0
