morning all,
Im going to China in April and just realised that i have to pay for my visa..
I checked on www.5starchinaholidays.com and the price is £90 for the visa etc..
Has anyone been to China and could give me any tips on saving money or getting the best visa deal?
thanks x

When you go to China are you making one entry and exit or multiple entries/exits?
This is important as fees range from £30 single to £90 multiple.
I imagine you are being charged the £30 single entry + a service charge which isn't unreasonable.
This is the link from the Chinese Embassy website to their service centre:
http://www.visaforchina.org.uk/visaen/visaView.html?method=readNotify¬ifyId=1118#Menu=ChildMenu2
It shows that a feeof £34.50 to £46 can be charged for the application - so £90 sounds about right to save yourself the hassle. The man without a signature.0 -
It'll just be the one trip..
Since im located up in Scotland i can't see myself travelling down to London to visit the embassy..
If £90 is the going rate then i guess thats fine..
oh well just means i'll have a little less to spend..0 -
Hi, to get china visa is much easier than other countries!
You can ask China embassy in your country!

Theres a Chinese Embassy in Edinburgh. You drop of your visa 1 day & collect it the next. Its a doddle (if you live in Edinburgh)
Do a google search & you'll find the details.0 -
Are you visiting Hong Kong before entering mainland China? If so, consider getting your visa there: both fast and cheap.
Otherwise, search. I have posted details of an agency I strongly recommend (can't remember their name) in the past on this forum. Since getting a visa yourself involves not only a visit to the embassy but also a fairly long wait there, using an agency makes sense for most employed people.0
