My friend had a Border Collie (she has 6) with the same problem. She got so weak that she couldn't get to the garden in time. It was clearly upsetting her so in the end my friend did the humane thing. I sobbed cos she was my favourite - huge but used to try to sit on my knee.
NB - 'she' refers to collie not my friend before you start!
It is sad Lenny but you've been good to him and he's been well looked after ind this is maybe the last thing you can help him with.0 -
Do you know if you ask him for a kiss he gives you a kiss, whereever he is he will jump on your knee, climb on your chest and wipe his cat gloop all over your face. He bites my forearm when I sing, he starts howling comes over and bites my forearm lol I was there for my last cat when she was put down, no one else would sit with her whilst the vet adminstered the jab so I did, I was only 15 as well. Perhaps, but we dont know what else we can do. We've positioned the litters trays strategically around the house, bought another litter tray. Just now, all the doors in the house were open, he could have gone to his clean litter tray but no he peed on the kitchen floor. Don't know what to dobank_of_slate wrote: »It could just be that he's feeling insecure!

Don't want to have to try and explain it to my 2yr old either...
for what it's worth a 2 year old will forget quickly and they do tend to take things at face value...
i.e
Kid - "where's tiddles"
Mum - "awww hunny, tiddles was sick, so we took him to the cat doctor. And now tiddles is in heaven"
Kid - "oh, okay then"I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I think you'll find that once you've discussed things with the vet, particularly if they can find a physical cause that the answer will become clear.
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
I shouted at him too when he was weeing i n the kitchen, Ive never shouted at him before for weeing, but what has been different in this house is he has peed on the white plastic stuff sill type thing at the bottom of the doors, not the carpets. Also we have had some new mats which he as weed on too the brown furry ones, so it could be them as there WAS one at each door (Actually, Ive just binned the 2nd set) so it could be them cause the rubber does smell. I dont know. I will see what the vet says tonight. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
