Reclaiming Charges - some help please

Hi all,
I have a few specific questions with regard to claiming, my apologies if these have been covered elsewhere in the forums:
First, I had 2 different accounts with the first bank I would like to make a claim against, do I have to send 2 letters to them with two separate payments in order to get my default charge information for each account? The particular accounts in question are held with BOS, one was defaulted about 18 months ago and I am currently paying that off at £20 per month (Only £2200ish to go:-S). The other account is an account I held with them when I was younger and used sparingly but got charged here and there - and hey, every little helps. Anything that would get that debt down would provide a huge amount of relief!
Secondly, when you are sending the actual claim letters, where is the best place to send them? Would it be the holding branch, or best to send them to the head office?
I also want to make a claim against RBS, their internet banking website was useful in that it has archives of all bank statements, so I was able to work out that I am owed around £1800 in charges and interest. So where would I send my claim letter?
Again, this amount of money would really help me out at the moment. I am no longer working, have just claimed JSA, split from my partner and have had to move home to live with my parents as things are so tight, and I am starting to fall further and further behind with things. So I'm thinking I'm entitled to use the hardship clause. Should I include any information to speed things up, or wait until they send me a form in order to assess my situation?
I'm concerned though, that RBS may remove my £2000 O/D, any advice regarding that would be helpful too. Different people in these forums seemed to have had differrent experiences.
Sorry, to be a bother, just when I was a student, I was so silly and irresponsible with money and I really just want to sort things out and start again. If I could only go back and tell myself what I know now...
Anyway, thanks for any help or advice you may be able to give...
Oh yeah, and I'm getting worried about this case tomorrow, it really could go any way given the current circumstances. I'm just worried now that I've left it too late...
