Thai aiways Heathrow - Bangkok

I've seen that the flight to Bangkok I'm taking next week is on an Airbus A340-600. I'm thinking that this will be better than the old 747-400, can anyone comment?

The daytime flight has changed to the A340. I've never flown with Thai but I've heard the 747s on this route were really dated. The A340 now being introduced has seat back tv screens and modern entertainment system which was lacking before. It appears to be the consensus that it's a lot better.0

Check out the seating plan

Make sure you aint got a A or B seat near the back!!!!0 -
The A340 is much better in economy with regards to in flight entertainment. The jumbo have big screen entertainment which doesn't always work, but the seats are a little bit more spacious, but only a little bit.
Given the choice, I'd be much happier on the A340.0 -

I've already got the print-out!!!
Anyone know whether the return daytime flight Bangkok - Heathrow is likely to be the airbus as I've not been able to confirm that.0 -
Assuming you are coming back before the summer timetable kicks in at the end of March:
TG910 Dep Bangkok at 00:15 is operated by the A340
TG916 Dep Bangkok at 13:30 is usually operated by the 747, but it may get switched on the odd date.0 -
then it looks like I'll have to print out two seating plans!0
