Power Flush Quote British Gas

Just had a quote today from BG for the above and it came it a £680 is this too steep? Not sure as it's not something I'm clued up on - showed me a cloth from the pump which was black and told me that's wht my rads aren't heating properly and not getting enough hot water can you help?

try a local plumber. BG take the p1$$.. Not really a major job technically, basically power jetting the gunk out of your system after it has been drained..

If you are any good at DIY you could prob manage it yourself...

same as me last week.rip off.also had a £3500 quote to relace my old boiler to a new combi from BG.had local guys all quote me around the £2500 mark.so gives you an idea about BG pricing.if youve an old boiler best put that £680 towards a new one if you can afford it,system has to be powerflushed for a new boiler anyway(included in my £2500 quotes)
