    [gambling is for one person to win,someone else to lose,investing isnt]
    investors are currently buying up cheap stocks and property largely from distressed sellers who bought at the top and who have lost.
    most people dont invest to prop up the economy but for their own financial gain.

    hence why I wrote "As far as the person involved is concerned there maybe no real difference"

    you misquoted me- I didn't say some people don't lose in investing, but that it isn't a zero sum game - there is a net economic gain from investing, there isn't from two people playing cards
