looks good.. what do you guys think?
  • I have a Traveler camera bought 4 years ago - it has been brilliant. I have hundreds of great photos. This new one looks great for a teenager. The accessories with it are as always comprehensive plus the 3 year guarantee is invaluable.
I have always found Aldi products good value and high quality. The PC I'm on was bought 3+ years ago and has been no trouble. I bought the 10" netbook at Christmas - my baby - I love it. Countless other things - not forgetting some good grub!

Mega pixel means nothing,Its the lens that makes it a good camera or not.But Aldi are usually very good quality.
  • 5Mp Canon was £50 in Argos the other day.

We had a 3.2MP Canon and have recently had some A3 prints made, quality is great so don't always go on the MP's. As said above the lens is the critical bit. One photo shop always told me to buy from a brand that makes their own lenses, e.g. canon, nikkon, minolta....

Yep I agree, don't be fooled my number of Megapixels, my 4MP canon ixus now 5 years old still far outshines all my friends higher MP cameras.

Saying that I've had a few gadgets from Aldi and been very impressed with them so hopefully the lens on this camera is decent, and if it is then the price is a bargain.
  • Also note before buying, these run off AA batteries rather than rechargeable lithium ones. That is good for when your abroad.
  • Thanks for the great advice in this thread!

I am always a wow thats a ....... megapixel so it must be better than the ...... (lower) megapixel!

What about Kodak I saw one of these the other day in Asda. Koda Easyshare or something...do Kodak make their own lenses like cannon.

Somone recommend me the best camera at £50.00 (excluding the Aldi one!)
  • thanks for all comments- i had not heard of Traveller cameras before.

In comparison, my old (now defunct) Fuji finepix digicam was 'just' 2mp, and cost £150 when i bought it, a few years back..

ok for outdoor shots, though the flash was not too good, and ate up the 32mb (woo!) memory, on highest quality setting.
