fitting toilet

hi i have a new push button toilet but have no instructions or seals .haveing a problem fitting system to pan .the donut seal i have will not cover the nut that holds the flushing system.the system has holes for the bolts to connect it to the pan.as i havent fitted this type before is there a problem with them sealing.thank you for any help

As long as it sits on the donut and you tighten the bolts it should work O K.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0
