I am an A&L Premier Plus current account holder
As A&L currently offer 0% 9mths on transfers/cheques - I'm looking at reapplying for the CC having had a healthy 10k limit last on my cashback CC [which I cancelled to get more cashback from Amex Plat], and get this shifted to ING to join my pot.
My Q is - will they still run the experian etc. credit checks and review as harshly for existing current account holders, or give me an easy ride and a healthy limit without effecting my credit searches ?

I have had a NatWest bank account since 1996. I got their credit card in 1997 and cancelled last april.
I reapplied in November for the card. They did a credit search, and gave me the same credit limit I had when I cancelled.
Might not be the same for A&L, but its something to go by. For the record, NatWest searched using Experian (poor rating, almost very poor) and Equifax (good, almost very good). So I think they used their own records in deciding the acceptance/limit too.
Hope this helps in some way.0 -

They will run a credit check on you as the Alliance and Leicester credit card is underwritten by MBNA and not Alliance and Leicester. I am not sure if having a current account with them will help.0 -
